Welcome to "Touch Art Project"Hi to all Artists and Artist's friends, welcome to 2010. At the end of 2009 we became a free service and finally secured the name Touch Art Project. This means we can start printing business cards and increase the advertising of the website during 2010. I also hope to start an annual group show this year. There are just a few of us at the moment but our numbers will grow and a group show would be a good way to promote our individual art work as well as meet and greet each other. I will give you further updates on this once I have secured a venue. As I mentioned before I am planning to increase our advertising, if you have any suggestions please feel free to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Is anyone planning to attend the Masterpieces From Paris exhibition in Canberra? I would love to know your thoughts and experiences.....V Call for Artists - "Hidden: A Rookwood Sculpture Walk"
The outdoor sculpture exhibition will be featured throughout various locations within the cafe site and neighbouring areas. Artists who would like to be considered to exhibit in this unique environment are invited to submit an expression of interest. Artists from culturally diverse backgrounds and emerging and local artists are especially encouraged to enter. The trusts are particularly interested in exhibiting the work of artists that directly respond and engage with the Rookwood site. Submissions close 22 February 2010. For more information please visit their website. Multiple Personalities 2009Multiple Personalities brought together a diverse group of Australian and International artists to engage with Ward 17 and Ward 18, the last outposts of Rozelle Mental Hospital, which after a long 123 year history was closed in 2008. What all the artists had in common was a desire to work with a residue; a sense of un-ease that exudes these now deserted buildings, and to engage with the rich presence and absence of Callan Park’s once mental institution. The exhibition ran from 4 - 13 December 2009. Photos of the opening night can be seen here.

Due to the overwhelming success of last year's exhibition, The Anglican and General Cemetery Trusts are once again partnering with Auburn Council to create the second annual Rookwood Sculpture Walk.
